Convertech - Double E Group . Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with PLC Programming experience looking for a new challenge? After a recent acquisition, we are looking for an electrical design engineer and PLC programmer for our equipment manufacturing facility based in Great Yarmouth. The new owners are investing significantly to support growth, creating a role that positions the business to soar in 2026. Your role will be predominantly site‑based with occasional travel to client sites 1–2 times a year. You will have full autonomy working with the programming and production teams to make process and design improvements. Benefits
Basic salary £50,000 – £60,000 Work hours: 8:30–5:00 Monday–Thursday, 8:30–3:30 Friday Hybrid working 25 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension scheme Responsibilities
Deliver machines to the service team in a fully tested, documented, and compliant state. Ensure documentation accuracy and ownership, including commissioning guides, compliance documents, and test standards. Act as a technical authority for commissioning and control systems. Manage supplier relationships relating to control‑system components, obsolescence, and returns. Provide occasional on‑site support when customer or service requirements cannot be resolved remotely. Maintain awareness of the financial and operational impact of engineering decisions. Continuously develop expertise in control‑system safety and compliance standards. Skills & Qualifications
Engineering qualification in Electrical or Controls, minimum Level 3. Experience in commissioning and testing of automated machinery. PLC programming experience (Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred). Electrical CAD and BoM management. Fault‑finding and troubleshooting in electrical and pneumatic circuits. Documentation creation (FAT/SAT, compliance, commissioning standards). Employment Details
