The Darling Oyster Bar
The Darling Oyster Bar is looking for a welcoming, motivated, and experienced Bartender to join our bar program. We expect exceptional service in a lively restaurant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be proficient with TOAST, and have a passion for creating memorable & repeat guest experiences. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and engaging with all guests to ensure satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently using TOAST.
- Take orders from guests accurately while providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to be receptive of company polices, procedures, and expectations are very important.
- Work as a team with other bartenders, barbacks, managers, and the rest of the restaurant staff. Professional communication with BOH in ordering supplies/product.
- Multitasking and managing the duties of a Barbackor an Assistant
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including specialty drinks, classic cocktails, wines, beers, as well as being proficient in both food menus.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and processing payments accurately.
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts.
- Engage with all guests in a friendly manner.
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle multiple orders & assignments during busy periods seamlessly.
- Be on time.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service.
Experience
- Prior experience is required, ideally 3 years of cocktail bartending, in a restaurant style setting. Expectations of cocktail & restaurant bartending knowledge is very high. Willingness to be receptive of company policies, procedures, and expectations are very important.
- Experience with serving, food safety, and handling alcohol responsibly is essential.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends, classic beverage preparation techniques, and customer engagement skills are advantageous.
