Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects within the mechanical and civil engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction management, project coordination, and technical proficiency with industry-standard software. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and teams to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Mechanical Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical construction projects from inception to closeout.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and review construction estimates utilizing HeavyBid and other estimating tools to establish accurate budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and clients to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings including Civil 3D models.
  • Manage procurement processes, including contracts and subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Oversee on-site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress through regular site visits, progress reports, and schedule updates; adjust plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, change orders, RFIs, and other critical records.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on mechanical or civil projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction estimating software such as HeavyBid.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong background in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation such as Civil 3D files.
  • Familiarity with construction management software platforms for project tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills in contract administration, negotiations, and project coordination.
  • Prior site experience in heavy civil or mechanical construction is highly desirable.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals eager to lead impactful projects within a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in construction management.

Pay: $60, $90,000.00 per year
