Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Coordinator to oversee the placement and support of high school exchange students within local communities. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by fostering cultural exchange, promoting student well-being, and building strong community relationships. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education or social work, experience working with students, and skills in volunteer management and recruiting. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for exchange students and host families alike, contributing to the success of our international exchange programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the placement of high school exchange students with host families, ensuring compatibility and community fit
• Serve as the primary point of contact for students, families, schools, and community partners throughout the program duration
• Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision to support student integration and community engagement
• Organize orientation sessions, cultural activities, and ongoing support initiatives for students and host families
• Monitor student progress and well-being through regular check-ins and provide resources or intervention as needed
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth program operations
• Maintain accurate records of placements, activities, and communications in compliance with program standards
• Promote awareness of exchange programs through outreach efforts within the community

Qualifications

• Experience working with students or in social work is highly preferred
• Strong background in volunteer management and recruiting volunteers or host families
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse populations
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
• Passion for cultural exchange, education, and community development
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
• Prior teaching experience or familiarity with high school environments is a plus
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive communities for international students
