Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, fruits, and other morning specialties with precision and flair
  • Follow standardized recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in menu planning for breakfast offerings, suggesting new ideas to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Handle food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service hours to meet guest demand without compromising quality
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and prevent contamination
  • Support catering requests for breakfast events or special occasions with timely and professional service
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service experiences for guests

Skills

  • Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized dietary needs
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or hospitality environments
  • Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings that emphasize presentation and quality standards
  • Skilled in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills for efficient ingredient handling
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment
  • Ability to plan menus thoughtfully while considering guest preferences and nutritional requirements
  • Excellent food industry knowledge with a focus on catering, serving, and delivering exceptional breakfast experiences
  • Strong teamwork skills complemented by effective communication to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
