Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong foundation in dental assisting practices.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Manage patient records by performing medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment following established protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including medical coding for insurance purposes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment is essential.
• Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
• Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical documentation processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
