Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in meal preparation and food preparation for catering events.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
• Experience in the food industry, particularly in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• A creative approach to menu planning and presentation of dishes.
• Previous experience as a cook or dietary aide is beneficial.
