brand-new Audio/Visual (AV) Systems Programmer role
and looking for a skilled professional ready to make a big impact on our Engineering team.
The AV Programmer is responsible for developing, testing, and implementing control system code for integrated audiovisual systems. This role ensures all programming components function seamlessly to meet design intent, project specifications, and client expectations.
What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and deploy control system programs for commercial AV installations.
- Program and configure systems using
Q-SYS (QSC), Crestron, and Extron
platforms. - Design intuitive
GUIs for touch panels and control devices
, collaborating with clients to match workflow, branding, and visual identity - Partner with design engineers, project managers, and field engineers to ensure smooth system integration and commissioning
- Conduct in-house and on-site system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning.
- Provide remote and field support for post-installation service calls and system updates.
- Stay current on
emerging AV technologies, AI tools, and manufacturer best practices
. - Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience
in commercial AV system programming or commissioning. Proven proficiency with:
- Q-SYS, Crestron, and Extron
platforms - GUI development
- AV system architectures, signal flow, and network communication
- Experience with
Python and Lua scripting
is highly preferred - Certifications strongly preferred: Q-SYS Level 2 & 3; Crestron Certified Programmer & Extron Control Professional
In addition:
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail in
code management and documentation - Ability to juggle
multiple projects and deadlines
effectively - Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for learning and implementing emerging technologies
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams - Willingness to
travel occasionally
to client and project sites. - Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
What is the work environment like?
This position is typically sedentary in nature. Must have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other office equipment. Occasionally, you must lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds). Work is usually performed inside though occasional outside activities may occur for short periods of time in a seasonal temperature-fluctuating environment.

This is a hybrid work environment role that requires working out of our Nashville, TN or Atlanta, GA office.
