Job Summary
The CNC Mill setup/ operator is responsible for the set-up of moderately complex jobs and operation of CNC mill equipment. We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setup / Operator to join our high-performing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating CNC Mills to produce precision components. This role ensures that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet specification and meet quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Observe and adhere to all safe machining practices at all times
• Set up and operation of CNC Mills with Yasnac, Haas and Okuma controls
• Use appropriate gauging and measuring tools to ensure dimensional conformance
• Maintain a clean work area at all times
• Maintain appropriate setup documentation
• Obtain first piece approval through the quality process
• Instruct operators on process, inspections, required gauging, and tooling needed to manufacture quality products and keep production on schedule
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and all safety requirements at all times
• Other duties maybe assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with others
• Experience machining aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and plastics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and shop math skills
• Ability to make sound decision and accept responsibility
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of G-Codes
• Portrays a can-do attitude
• Computer literacy
• Read, write, understand English

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

High School Graduate or equivalent. Three or more years demonstrated CNC mill setup and operation experience. Associates Degree, preferred.
