We are recruiting a Sales Advisor to work within the busy Customer Services department at the company head office in Sowerby Bridge.
In this role you will be responsible for managing customer calls and queries across the electrical industry, including export customers, to secure sales and profitable growth. You will also provide first‑line product support to customers, field‑based sales colleagues, and other internal departments.
Business Overview Lucy Zodion is an industry leader in advanced street lighting controls, power distribution and electric vehicle (EV) supply solutions. Our products assist customers with energising urban and highways infrastructure from the ground up. Our range includes photocells, power distribution enclosures, EV connection feeder pillars, isolators, cut‑outs and switchgear.
Job Context
Part of a close‑knit Customer Services department that is the first point of contact for incoming customer calls and product enquiries, championing the Lucy Zodion brand.
Full customer service experience including management of customer queries, providing quotations, order book management, customer follow‑up, telesales and account management.
Primary focus on a defined account base, with ad‑hoc queries from other customers or prospective clients. Management of sales campaigns and promotions (telesales) required.
Responsible for accurate and timely processing of customer purchase orders.
Provide first‑line product support across all Lucy Zodion product categories.
Job Dimensions
Office based (within a hybrid working policy).
Part of a close‑knit team within a busy Customer Services department.
Reports to the Commercial Manager.
Customer Services department reports to the Head of Sales.
Key Accountabilities
Telephone call handling for all customer groups.
Respond to customer requests for price and availability, and delivery queries.
Deliver sales quotations in line with business KPIs.
Provide first‑line product support to external and internal customers.
Proactively follow up on customer quotations to convert sales opportunities.
Follow up digital marketing campaigns and promotions to generate enquiries and convert sales.
Support order book management in line with customer enquiries and business processes.
Provide support to field‑based sales colleagues for customer, product, and system enquiries.
Support the Commercial Manager in issuing price lists, contract price lists and tenders.
Data input and editing using D365, ensuring customer information is current and accurate.
Ensure Lucy Zodion delivers the highest level of service to our customers.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
Demonstrable experience in a customer services environment (system data entry and processing).
Highly developed customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in a proactive telesales environment is advantageous.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment for technical products is desirable.
Knowledge of CRM tools and systems.
Knowledge of export sales processes and procedures is desirable.
Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
Reliable and motivated individual dedicated to delivering high levels of customer service.
Professional and polite call handling.
Professional and timely email communications.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Diligent, detailed, and organised working methods.
