Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via phone and digital channels, providing courteous and professional assistance in both English and your second language.
  • Accurately gather and update patient information through efficient data entry and management systems.
  • Clarify medical procedures, appointment details, and insurance information to ensure patients understand their healthcare options.
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up inquiries.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Address patient concerns or complaints with empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with medical office staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless communication.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare customer service environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient inquiries.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with data entry systems and electronic health records.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and active listening.

About the position
This is a fully remote position.

Assist Health requires all full-time remote team members to to have the following equipment :

  • Desktop Computer with windows operating system (MAC and laptops not supported)
  • Dual Monitor Setup
  • Noise Cancelling Headphone
  • Webcam
  • Hardwired internet (Wifi not acceptable)

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
