Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

The Maintenance II position at Benedettini Cabinets LP is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all equipment and facilities within the organization. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to maintain high standards of operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within the facility.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance activities.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.

• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational needs.

• Knowledge in Finishing Pumps is a plus

Required experience, education, and/or certification:

• Associate's degree, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or five more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Experience working with cabinetry or woodworking machinery is preferred.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

• Proven track record of performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.

• Strong knowledge of using hand and power tools.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting maintenance activities.

Preferred:

• Able to work on Day Shift (7:00AM-4:00PM) or Night Shift (4:00PM–1:00AM), Mon-Fri.
• Highly desirable - Experience in repair and rebuilding of any of the following: finishing pumps, gearbox, motor, conveyor, light fixtures, edge banders, cnc routers, boiler, planers, rip saws, compressor, dryer, welding
• Able to read and understand blueprints or schematic diagrams
• Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communications.
