Extrusion Press Field Service Millwright

Imagine starting your week in our shop, assembling and rebuilding precision components, and finishing it on-site at a customer facility helping bring an aluminum extrusion press back online. That's the rhythm of this role—hands-on work at home base and real-world problem solving in the field.

• Support a lead technician on the repair and preventative maintenance of aluminum extrusion presses and related equipment.
• Pitch in at the shop between field assignments to assemble, build, and repair machinery and components.

• No experience required—just genuine mechanical aptitude.
• Comfort with basic hand tools and taking mechanical assemblies apart and reassembling them.

• Background as a millwright or in industrial maintenance.
• Welding experience (stick and MIG).
• Exposure to aluminum extrusion equipment and press maintenance.

You'll receive structured, hands-on training to service and maintain extrusion presses. As your interests grow, we can expand your skill set into welding, hydraulics, PLCs, controls, electrical systems, and even engineering concepts.

• Shop: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Field: Varies by customer needs; weekend work is common to align with production schedules. We plan your time to allow for recharge and flexibility.

• Typical trips run 4–5 days at a stretch.
• Per diem and travel expenses covered; most travel is in company vehicles.
• Occasional extended projects may span several weeks—teams rotate to limit time away.

• Pay based on experience; starting at $18/hour.

• Work with 120/208/240/480V systems

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Pipefitting
• Electrical and electronic systems, including high voltage
