RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain course materials including instructor manuals, participant guides, eLearning, train the trainer materials, job aids, evaluations, tests.
- The ability to work independently throughout this stage.
- Design learning solutions based upon audience needs and task analysis that include high level design documentation, recommended delivery method, curriculum content, and supporting materials to ensure mastery of learning objectives.
- Ability to work independently throughout this stage including the design of instructionally sound eLearning.
- Working with Manager, drive standardization and instructional design process improvements.
- With senior staff guidance, establish, implement, and maintain instructional design methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Identify need for training intervention.
- Analyze new or changed user tasks due to new product/program/process releases and upgrades.
- Conduct task/impact analysis using standard department techniques ie. surveys, focus groups, interviews,etc.
- Independently perform the above and handle more complex training interventions. Implement new courses, curriculum, and updates to existing materials.
- Conduct development tests to ensure design fulfills needs of learners.
- Communicate design methodology to Learning Services and coach them to properly deploy materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training design through the creation of assessments and evaluations that gauge the mastery of learning objectives during and after training.
- Analyze results and make changes to address opportunities.
- Evaluate need for updates to course materials based upon product releases, new functionality, and feedback.
- Recommend prioritization of updates and ensure implementation.
- Evaluate new design tools and applications and determine the best solution.
- Submit recommendations; plan and implement rollout.
- Coach and mentor team members
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and/or experience
- 3-5 years of directly related experience (i.e. instructional development, adult learning theory, technical writing)
- Training and/or experience in instructional design.
- Experience developing courseware in blended learning environment.
- Expertise using instructional design tools such as Articulate 360 (primarily Storyline), Camva, Camtasia, Audacity, and/ or Captivate.
- Operate independently to analyze, design, and develop learning solutions applying proven instructional design methods and practices.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office 365 products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

- Major Area of Concentration - Instructional, Development, Training, Education or Communication preferred Training in instructional design required Industry certifications such as ASTD or Langevin preferred
- Experience in developing courseware/curricula in a blended learning environment preferred. Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound learning solutions in multiple modalities required. Experience with ADP products/industry a plus.
- Skills & Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to complete projects/development in accelerated timeframes, which includes multi-tasking, prioritizing and project management Instructional development tools: Captivate, Articulate, Perception, MS Office suite. Experience with analysis/data gathering
- Possess instructional design skills
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization, relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HTML, XML and Java a plus
