Journeyman Plumber

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, with the ability to perform complex plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and residential projects. This role requires a professional with excellent technical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Journeyman Plumber will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing layouts accurately.
• Conduct troubleshooting of plumbing issues, including leak detection, pipe replacement, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely during installation or repair processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper safety procedures at all times.
• Provide field service support for ongoing maintenance or emergency repairs as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Oregon Journeyman Plumber license or certification.
• Proven experience in construction plumbing, with knowledge of commercial site requirements preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations related to piping layouts.
• Experience with remodeling, maintenance work, or maintenance person tasks is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
• Valid driver's license for commercial driving or field service support is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; strong communication skills are essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic team environment while utilizing your technical skills in construction plumbing and related trades.

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
