As a Security Guard - Licensed Patrol - Government Site in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will be key in providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any security-related irregularities or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as needed during incidents and/or emergency situations.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors and site contacts regarding security-related matters.
• Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are present.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
