Position Summary: 
The Housekeeping Supervisor at Courtyard by Marriott leads the team responsible for keeping guest rooms and public areas clean and well-maintained. This role involves not only managing the housekeeping staff but also ensuring that the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and presentation are met. The supervisor is crucial in training, scheduling, and motivating the team to provide outstanding service to guests. Good communication and teamwork with other hotel departments are important to quickly meet guest needs and improve their experience. •    Overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms to uphold exceptional standards
•    Executing tasks such as changing linens, making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities in guest rooms
•    Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
•    Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally
•    Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure they are clean and meet company standards
•    Ensuring adequate supplies like toiletries, towels, and linens are consistently available and replenished as required
•    Promptly responding to guest requests, effectively resolving any issues or concerns raised
•    Adhering strictly to safety and security protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and team members
•    Collaborating closely with colleagues to meet department objectives and deliver exceptional service
•    Maintaining adherence to Cortona Inn & Suite's brand standards and procedures to surpass guest expectations 
•    Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain cleanliness and orderliness 
•    Reporting any room maintenance issues or damages promptly to the relevant department for swift resolution 
•    Implementing eco-friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability initiatives 
•    Seizing opportunities for training and professional development to enhance performance and progress in the dynamic hospitality industry 
•    Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer service 

Qualifications Requirements: 
•    A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping. 
•    Exhibit a service-oriented approach with polished professional presentation skills. 
Knowledge and Skills: 
•    Proficiency in multitasking is essential. 
•    Minimum age requirement of 18 years. 
•    Genuine passion for meeting the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. 
Language Skills:   
•    Proficiency in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
•    Ability to compose basic correspondence. 
•    Skill in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings with colleagues and management 
Mathematical Skills:   
•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
Reasoning Ability:

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Courtyard by Marriott, you will oversee housekeeping activities, requiring physical endurance and attention to detail. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting and moving heavy objects up to 50 lbs, and handling delicate items with care. You should be adaptable and maintain high standards in a dynamic environment.

You will regularly perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using your hands. Good vision, including near and far sight, color recognition, and depth perception, is necessary.

In this role, you will use sound judgment to evaluate room conditions and develop strategies to maintain cleanliness and enhance guest experiences. Physical Demands Continued: 
•    Leading and supervising the housekeeping team while standing for extended periods to oversee room cleaning, furniture arrangement, and bed-making. 
•    Coordinating the relocation of bulky items like linens, towels, and cleaning supplies to ensure efficient housekeeping operations. 
•    Demonstrating flexibility by stooping, crouching, and stretching to organize guest room amenities and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. 
•    Utilizing fine motor skills to handle delicate linens and operate cleaning machinery for optimal room presentation. 
•    Directing and overseeing the use of vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning equipment to maintain a pristine environment. 
•    Navigating through different areas of the hotel premises to inspect and supervise cleanliness standards. 
•    Communicating effectively with team members and superiors to manage room inventory and ensure guest satisfaction. 
•    Upholding tidiness and sanitation in guest rooms and public areas to provide a welcoming environment for guests. 
•    Working diligently in a fast-paced setting with great attention to detail to meet and exceed guest expectations. 
•    Following safety protocols and cleanliness guidelines when handling linens and amenities to guarantee a hygienic environment. 
•    Conducting thorough inventory checks and accurately documenting cleaning activities for record-keeping purposes.

•    Being willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the hotel. 
•    Occasionally lifting, moving, pushing, or pulling objects weighing between 0 and 50 lbs as needed to facilitate housekeeping tasks.
