Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor at Courtyard by Marriott leads the team responsible for keeping guest rooms and public areas clean and well-maintained. This role involves not only managing the housekeeping staff but also ensuring that the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and presentation are met. The supervisor is crucial in training, scheduling, and motivating the team to provide outstanding service to guests. • Overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms to uphold exceptional standards
• Executing tasks such as changing linens, making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities in guest rooms
• Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally
• Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure they are clean and meet company standards
• Ensuring adequate supplies like toiletries, towels, and linens are consistently available and replenished as required
• Promptly responding to guest requests, effectively resolving any issues or concerns raised
• Adhering strictly to safety and security protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and team members
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to meet department objectives and deliver exceptional service
• Maintaining adherence to Cortona Inn & Suite's brand standards and procedures to surpass guest expectations
• Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
• Reporting any room maintenance issues or damages promptly to the relevant department for swift resolution
• Implementing eco-friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability initiatives
• Seizing opportunities for training and professional development to enhance performance and progress in the dynamic hospitality industry
• Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer service
Qualifications Requirements:
• A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Exhibit a service-oriented approach with polished professional presentation skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proficiency in multitasking is essential.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Genuine passion for meeting the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Language Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to compose basic correspondence.
• Skill in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings with colleagues and management
Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
