Windows Administrator

Position Summary
A Windows Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows-based systems and servers. This role ensures the stability, integrity, security, and efficient operation of IT infrastructure within an organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and upgrades.
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
• Maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for system configurations and compliance.
• Use tools like Event Viewer, Performance Monitor, and Windows Admin Center for diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot workstation and server hardware/software problems.
• Implement and maintain security best practices: antivirus, firewalls, access control.
• Ensure systems comply with organizational, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and restore procedures.
• Manage Hyper-V environments or VMware deployments.
• Support cloud services such as Azure AD, Microsoft 365, or hybrid infrastructures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
