General Service Technician/Janitor

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Service Technician / Janitor to support our automotive repair shop. This role combines light mechanical assistance with facility cleaning and upkeep. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in keeping a shop clean and safe, and enjoys helping the team operate smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

General Service Duties

• Perform basic vehicle services such as:
• Oil changes
• Tire rotations
• Mounting and balancing tires
• Replacing air filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other minor components
• Assist technicians with simple tasks and shop organization
• Check and maintain fluid levels in shop equipment
• Move and park vehicles safely on the property

Janitorial / Shop Maintenance Duties

• Sweep, mop, and clean shop floors and service bays
• Empty trash containers and manage shop waste disposal
• Maintain clean restrooms, lobby, and office areas
• Clean tools, equipment, and workstations as needed
• Ensure shop is kept organized, safe, and hazard-free
• Perform light building maintenance (changing light bulbs, clearing debris, etc.)

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
• Basic mechanical aptitude or prior shop experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to follow safety procedures at all times
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
