Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our bustling restaurant. This role requires a passionate leader with a strong background in food service management, bartending experience, team supervision, and customer satisfaction. Experience in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in the Toast POS system and the online reservation system, Open Table. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high service standards.
- Supervise and train staff members, including conducting interviews, onboarding, and ongoing development to promote a cohesive team environment.
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the Toast POS system; perform cash handling duties as needed.
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with on premise catering events, banquets, and special functions such as weddings or corporate gatherings.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support management in budgeting, cost control, and overall restaurant performance improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment; assistant manager experience preferred.
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards.
- Experience with Toast POS system is required.
- Experience supervising staff, conducting training & development sessions, and managing team performance.
- Background in hospitality management with knowledge of casual dining or fine dining operations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
- Prior experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work culture. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to advance their career within the hospitality industry while delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60, $65,000.00 per year
