Lead Water Mitigation Technician

Position Overview

This is a hybrid role combining sales, customer communication, and hands-on mitigation work. We are looking for someone who can confidently walk into a water loss, explain the scope of work, sell and close the mitigation job on-site, and then perform the necessary mitigation services.

If you have restoration experience and strong communication/sales skills, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to water damage leads and evaluate the loss
• Explain the mitigation process clearly to customers and secure the job
• Prepare estimates or initial scopes as needed
• Perform water extraction, demolition, and drying setup
• Take thorough documentation (photos, readings, notes, sketches)
• Communicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance contacts
• Identify additional mitigation needs and present recommendations
• Monitor drying progress and update documentation daily
• Maintain a clean, professional presence on-site
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency services

Qualifications

• Experience in water mitigation and property restoration
• Ability to confidently speak with customers and close jobs
• Strong documentation skills (photos, readings, apps/software)
• IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD) are a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license and clean background
• Ability to work in fast-paced, emergency environments
• Physically able to perform mitigation tasks (lifting, demolition, equipments, etc)

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Commission on closed mitigation jobs
• Opportunities for training and additional certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
