The Facilities Operations Branch is seeking a Space Planner (SP) to join an exciting team of creative professionals. This position is located in Sacramento at DMV Headquarters.

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I in the Facilities Operations Branch, the SP performs interior design and modular systems furniture (MSF) layouts to support new and reconfigured workstations. The SP is responsible for analyzing, coordinating and implementing project activities pertaining to planning, budgeting, design, space use, construction, maintenance, staff relocation, and health and safety concerning staff and buildings located in the Sacramento headquarters complex and field locations throughout the state. Knowledge in AutoCAD and California Building Code required.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

Primarily sedentary for extended periods of time and operates a computer terminal. Give presentations and participate at meetings. Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers over the telephone.
