Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Handle food with care, utilizing proper knife skills for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other preparation techniques
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours
• Follow all food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining experience
• Strong culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife proficiency
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
• Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating attention to special dietary needs
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards meal preparation and service
• Prior experience in catering or large-scale food production is advantageous
