Pizza Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza making and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality pizzas, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant environments is highly valued.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and flavor excellence
• Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area following health regulations
• Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients
• Support the team during busy hours by providing excellent food service and timely meal preparation
• Follow all dietary guidelines related to meal preparation for special dietary needs or restrictions

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service, especially in pizza or similar cuisine
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
• Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is preferred but not required
• Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality presentation and flavor excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
