About the Role

United Systems is seeking a Brand Controller responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, managing financial processes, and identifying value opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, audits, and oversight of core accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the monthly close process.
   
• Prepare timely and accurate periodic financial statements.
   
• File applicable taxes (e.g., Sales & Use Tax, Property Tax).
   
• Support development and implementation of GAAP-compliant policies and procedures.
   
• Generate and distribute financial statements to management.
   
• Assist with annual budgets, variance reports, and forecasting.
   
• Support the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting.
   
• Prepare internal analyses for internal and external reporting requirements.
   
• Facilitate audits and reviews with external auditors in coordination with the Corporate Team.
   
• Supervise and direct billing, accounts payable, and procurement staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
   
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
   
• CPA or MBA preferred.
   
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
   
• Strong accounting and financial analysis skills.
   
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
   
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
   
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
