Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Prior experience in catering, or food service is highly valued, along with strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to menu specifications
• Cook dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures
• Support catering events and special functions as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Requirements

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant experience preferred
• Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in menu planning, food presentation is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; experience in catering or serving is advantageous
• A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the food industry

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
