Job Summary: As a Shift Leader at Milk Mustache, you will oversee daily store operations under the direction of the Store Manager/General Manager, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience. You will lead a small team, manage order fulfillment, and maintain store standards. Your role is crucial in upholding our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. If you are a proactive leader with a passion for customer service and a knack for problem-solving, we want you on our team

Responsibilities:

  • Manage store operations during shifts, including overseeing staff, customer service, and store cleanliness.
  • Greet customers, take orders, fulfill orders, and use the Point-of-Sale system.
  • Prepare and assemble orders, ensuring accuracy. Orders may include the occasional local delivery using the company vehicle when needed.
  • Execute systems and procedures with integrity.
  • Supervise staff on shift, overseeing product preparation, sales, customer service, and facility operations.
  • Ensure reliability, punctuality, and great attendance.
  • Participate in and/or oversee on-the-job training for new team members.
  • Ensure opening and/or closing procedures are completed.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills for in-person and phone interactions.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, work ethic, and ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive environments.
  • Use various kitchen equipment, including convection ovens and mixers.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Shift lead experience.
  • Schedule flexibility on weekends and holidays.
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced, food service, bakery, or retail environment.
  • Reliability (on-time and present).
  • Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proactive and takes initiative.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Enjoys interacting with customers.
  • Clear communication with team, management, and customers.
  • Willingness to maintain a Food Manager Certificate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a loud, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and obey all traffic laws.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
