Giovanni Pastrami is where classic deli flavors meet sports bar energy, and we're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations with efficiency, passion, and precision.

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, and team performance are at the highest standards. You'll be hands-on, leading by example while maintaining a smooth, organized, and high-energy kitchen environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • Ensure all food is prepared to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
  • Monitor ticket times and maintain a fast-paced, efficient kitchen flow
  • Perform line checks and quality control throughout the shift
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including prep stations and storage
  • Uphold all health and safety regulations (DOH, ServSafe, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly with FOH managers to coordinate guest needs and timing
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the GM for ordering and stock rotation
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain consistency and boost morale
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise, remaining calm under pressure
  • Participate in menu development, costing, and kitchen planning when needed

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Lead Line Cook in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on team success
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe or Food Handler Certification

Pay: $57, $60,502.00 per year
