Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Retail Operationsto oversee the daily functions and strategic direction of our retail stores. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of sales, inventory control, customer service, and team development. This role requires a proactive approach to managing store performance, optimizing operations, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences across multiple locations.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store teams, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff to foster a high-performance environment.
- Oversee daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements across all locations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and facilitate employee orientation and training programs.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and reporting.
- Foster effective communication within the team and with corporate headquarters to align operational goals.
- Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions, inventory tracking, and sales analysis.
- Manage shift scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail settings, preferably with assistant manager or supervisory roles.
- Strong background in retail sales, customer service excellence, and team leadership.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology, merchandising techniques, and retail math.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes, payroll administration, bookkeeping practices, and cash handling procedures.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
