Cafe Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead and oversee daily operations of our café - Monday through Saturday; 6:30AM to 3:30PM daily. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for providing quality food service, and a understanding of restaurant management. This role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. Prior experience in food service is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Complete food preparation, provide excellent customer service, utilize the POS systems, and ensure food safety protocols
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste
• Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
• Coordinate shift management and scheduling staff to ensure proper coverage at all times
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure excellent customer service experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or food service, preferably within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling expertise required
• Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food industry best practices
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster a positive work environment
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
• Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make sound management decisions

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
