About our Firm:

We are boutique, plaintiff's medical malpractice and nursing home law firm. We are seeking an ambitious attorney with excellent writing skills and a desire to be in the courtroom to join our dynamic legal team. Experience is a plus but not required. This a great opportunity for an attorney looking to learn, to develop their skills, and get exposure to complex litigation.

About this Position:

· Overview: Primary We are seeking an attorney to manage a case load of litigation cases from initial complaint to settlement or trial. The Attorney will handle all aspects of the process from discovery disputes to motion practice and case resolution.

· Litigation : Associate will have the opportunity to perform additional litigation tasks as needed, based on his/her demonstrated capacity.

· Legal Research/Writing : Conduct thorough research on medical procedures, legal issues, and standards of care in support of the firm's pre-suit and litigation matters. Draft substantive motions, argue and win them.

· Client Interaction : Provide clients with empathetic, clear, and professional communication explaining the litigation process, relevant client decisions and associated risks, and expected results.

· Case management : Manage cases and litigation staff to ensure prompt and professional resolution of matters from initial client contact to settlement or trial.

Assist as needed: We are a small firm. There will be opportunities to assist with pre-suit tasks, cover other attorney depositions and hearings, and writing projects.

Qualifications:

· Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. (Accepting applications from law students pending bar results or licensure)

· Must be licensed to practice law in Arizona or on track to be licensed.

· Exceptional writing skills are required , with an emphasis on good citations and persuasive and logically sound argument.

· Strong interpersonal skills. We litigate cases, and expect our attorneys to be able to charismatically explain complex issues to both clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Candidates must connect effectively with clients and demonstrate impressive negotiation abilities.

· High ethical standards and commitment to the constitution and client advocacy.

· Proactive problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take initiative.

· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new legal challenges.

· Passion for medical law and advocacy for those affected by medical negligence.

Compensation:

We offer a base salary which can vary with experience and is designed to incentivize results-minded attorneys. We also may offer our attorneys a performance-based bonuses based on case outcomes. Our firm provides attorneys with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities. We pay for CLE, bar dues, and other necessary expenses associated with Licensure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
