Responsibilities

• Perform thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems with attention to detail.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
• Service vehicle maintenance needs including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems on GM vehicles and other makes.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed using auto estimating software and adhere to dealership or shop standards for quality assurance.

Skills

• Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong mechanical background.
• Deep understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, including diesel engine repair, powertrain work, transmissions, and welding techniques.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and knowledge of GM vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities.

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
