The Residence at Oak Grove, our state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care community in Thomasville, Georgia, is seeking Cook/Preps to join our team. As a Cook/Prep, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes

• Ensure that all meals are served on time and at the appropriate temperature

• Assist in the planning and development of menus in collaboration with the Dietary Manager

• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures, including storage, labeling, and rotation of food items

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients

• Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations

• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a Cook/Prep, preferably in an assisted living/memory care community or similar setting

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices

• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
