Schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights/Weekends available)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric conditions. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on safety, stabilization, and therapeutic support in a secure inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor patient health status, administer medications, and assist with treatment plans
  • Support patients through crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic communication
  • Document care consistently and accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with RNs, providers, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized care planning
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-oriented environment for all patients

Qualifications

  • Current Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
  • Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or acute-care settings preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and crisis-management skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
