Overview

Richter Canadian Core Tax group is looking to hire professionals at the associate level. The Associate will prepare, review complex tax returns and identify planning opportunities for complex tax matters. Work alongside managers and partners with tax planning implementation. You will also take part in regular training and skill development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparation and review of complex tax returns, and identifying planning opportunities;
  • Preparation of specialty tax forms (branch tax returns, Reg 105, T2057, etc.);
  • Research tax issues, interpret and apply tax legislation;
  • Assist managers and partners with tax planning implementation;

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Others:

  • Possesses a CPA designation or in process of;
  • In progress or intention to pursue the CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Course or a Master of Tax;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a tax role working with owner-managed private businesses;
  • French is a must, English is considered an asset;
  • Possess exceptional technical skills and a fine attention to detail;
  • Have proven problem solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills and creativity;
  • Computer proficient (Word, Excel, TaxPrep, TaxnetPro/CCH or similar tax research software);
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team;
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines;
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client service.
