Hiring a Full Time Summer Seasonal Driver

What You'll Do

  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of your truck before every trip and complete the pre-trip report before leaving the shop.
  • Driving Excellence: Safely drive trucks to meet business needs while adhering to all safety and operational guidelines.
  • Maintenance & Cleaning: Clean trucks at the end of each day when time permits to ensure they are in top condition.
  • Damage Reporting: Promptly report any truck damages or issues to the logistics coordinator.
  • Record Keeping: Track load counts, tonnages, lap times, and hours worked on your driver log, and submit all logs, pit tickets, and job information at the end of your shift.
  • Support Team Efforts: Perform other duties as assigned by the Operation Director or owners to support Alpine Specialty Earthwork operations.
  • Daily Reporting: Ensure daily logs are completed accurately and submitted by the end of each workday.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions, including hot, cold, and wet environments.
  • Good hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Comfortable getting in and out of large equipment multiple times throughout the day.
  • Requires long periods of sitting, as well as other physical activities such as bending, lifting, and climbing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Commercial driving: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:

Willingness to travel:
