Assistant Kitchen Manager

Heritage Palms Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to support daily kitchen operations and help lead our culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant team while ensuring exceptional dining experiences.

Position Overview

The Assistant Kitchen Manager works closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure efficient kitchen operations, consistent food quality, and a safe, well-organized work environment. This individual plays a key role in training staff, supporting inventory management, and maintaining the high standards expected at Heritage Palms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising kitchen staff and daily back-of-house operations
• Support menu execution, food preparation, and quality control
• Help train, coach, and motivate back-of-house staff
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Assist with ordering, inventory management, and cost controls
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and consistency of dishes
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen culture
• Step into cooking or prep roles as needed to support service
• Communicate effectively with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience preferred (Lead Line Cook, Shift Supervisor, or similar)
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train staff
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Food Safety Certification required or willingness to obtain
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
