Position DescriptionRiver Mill Academy is seeking a qualified and motivated High School Math Teacher to join our team beginning January 1, 2026. The successful candidate will provide engaging and effective instruction to high school students in mathematics, foster a positive learning environment, and contribute to the school's academic and extracurricular programs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and deliver standards-based math lessons for high school students.
- Implement differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Use data and formative assessments to guide instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progress.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education.
- Valid North Carolina Teaching License in Secondary Mathematics (9–12) or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies.
- Salary: Based on the North Carolina state teacher salary scale plus a 17% local supplement.
