Summary:
Under supervision of the Facilities Director, manage Engineering Leads in coordinating the predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance of the entire campus which includes Casino, Hotel, Event Center, Warehouse, Golf Course and Storage areas, assist in managing service and supply contracts, assist in the development of RFP/RFQ for projects, assist in developing short term and long term capital projects, inspect work completed by engineering and outside contractors, assist in the management and execution of the CMMS, assist in the adherence of casino and departmental policies and procedures, must be able to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required
Qualifications:
- Engineering or 4 yr degree preferred
- Or certification from technical school and 5 years experience
- OR any combination
- 5 years of increasing responsibility in a supervisory position of technical personnel
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, electrical schematics, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form \Must have strong trouble shooting ability and capable of following direction
- Work effectively alone and in a team environment
- Follow and give oral and written instructions
- Maintain cooperative working relationships
- Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population
- Applicable code requirements, including those regulations pertaining to fire life safety
- Ability to work from plans and specifications
- Methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment
- Safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment
- Must have 4 years of computerized maintenance management system
Licensing Requirements:
- Class III Gaming License
- Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures complete guest satisfaction AND treats guests in friendly and helpful manner.
- Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People.
- Supports established policies and procedures for SRC.
- Track labor, parts, and machine history in CMMS.
- Maintain a written log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage in conjunction with proper pass down entries.
- Directs and coordinates the daily activities of all assigned department personnel and department responsibilities.
- Inspect, completed work orders by Team & Contractors
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment throughout the building.
- Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis such as hotel room care.
- Communicates with hotel department heads to become aware of maintenance needs and ensures timely response to internal requests.
- Coordinates compliance of all service contracts.
- Hires, trains and provides career development for Engineering personnel.
- Conducts Performance Evaluations and provides feedback to employees.
- Investigates guest complaints.
- Participates in the SRC Safety Committee.
- Supports all Risk Management guidelines for fire and safety regarding Engineering including the proper storage of chemicals, paints and etc.
- Provide assistance and instruction to employees.
- Communicates daily with other management, and department heads and employees.
- Assists in the development of annual capital budgets for the hotel regarding property, equipment and building repairs and replacement requirements.
- Assists in conducting the departmental operational audits and assists in developing corrective action plans.
- Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
- May at times assume responsibilities for the Casino Resort during the absence of the Facilities Director. Assist Engineering Leads by leading, guiding and training employees. Supervising Engineering staff when the Engineering Lead is not available. Helping with scheduling for vacations, sick and other circumstances that may arise. Discipline or rewarding employees as necessary to maintain a fully functional department.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs.) unassisted
- Bending, standing, climbing or walking for long periods
- Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades
- Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards
Working conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to tobacco smoke
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

- High School or equivalent
- Certification from a college or technical school
- OR completion of a trade school apprenticeship program
