Cashier/Kitchen Assistant

Henry's Hot Chicken is a Nashville style hot chicken food truck known for quality ingredients, bold flavors, and great service. We operate at various locations around the Raleigh area and complete most prep work from our commissary kitchen in Raleigh.

Position Overview

We are hiring a reliable team member who can work the register and deliver a friendly customer experience while also assisting with basic cooking tasks, food prep, and cleaning. This is a hands on role with a mix of customer service and kitchen support.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude and take orders accurately

• Operate the point of sale system and handle cash and card payments

• Assemble orders following our service standards

• Help with food preparation including portioning, breading, slicing, and other basic tasks

• Assist with light cooking and fryer operation when trained

• Support setup and breakdown of the truck each day

• Clean dishes, equipment, prep areas, and maintain a sanitary workspace

• Follow all food safety and handling procedures

• Work shifts both on the truck at mobile locations and occasionally at the commissary kitchen

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail preferred but not required

• Strong communication skills and a friendly personality

• Ability to multitask in a fast moving environment

• Willingness to follow procedures and learn new skills

• Must be dependable and punctual

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commissary and truck locations

Schedule and Availability

• Part time or full time availability depending on business needs

• Must have availability on weekends and evenings
