The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for coordinating & conducting interviews, maintain candidate records, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience from application to onboarding.. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build applicant pool for key positions throughout the organization with immediate focus on Technicians and other key roles

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for open positions across the country

  • Assist with sourcing and candidate development including job requisitions, internet sourcing, and employee referrals

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team & Hiring Managers to identify key candidates for open roles

  • Execute external & internal Mailchimp correspondence for recruiting purposes

  • Develop & Maintain relationships with appropriate schools/organizations that support our industry by participation in job fairs, engaging with students and any other approved initiatives

  • Review and analyze applicant pool for various roles by using HRIS Platform

  • Manage the interview process including scheduling and conducting interviews for priority roles

  • Assist with preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials

  • Coordinate the applicant experience from initial inquiry to start date

  • Coordinate, schedule and manage reports in HRIS for various open positions

  • Monitor sponsored jobs on Indeed and ensure monthly budget is well used

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with operations and central services departments

  • Coordinate and attend career fairs, field trips and other presentations as needed

  • Work with outside headhunters and staffing agencies to identify new talent as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Available to work overtime when required

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area

  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • Working knowledge/interest of the marine industry preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or coordination roles Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with ATS/HRIS software
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Candidate must be located in Southeast region (MD/NC/SC)
