Maintenance Worker

This person will be called upon to make repairs to guest room and public spaces as necessary including but not limited to kitchen, PTAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs

Have some knowledge of Electrical/Plumbing/PTAC

Perform maintenance and repairs for assigned area of expertise such as the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (PTAC), ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming pool-if applicable

To undertake plumbing, painting, decorating, carpentry and minor electrical and mechanical engineering work as necessary to maintain safe and efficient systems within the hotel

Perform Preventive Maintenance work orders

Operate and understand basic television system, plumbing systems and electrical systems through the hotel

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and PTAC systems through out the hotel

Keeps systems maintained and operational by performing routine maintenance on building equipment, PTAC, wiring and lighting, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on all systems and equipment, and identifying and correcting defective or damaged systems assisting with any other maintenance needs at the building as needed

Performing routine preventive maintenance on guest rooms and building equipment, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on systems and equipment, assisting with any other maintenance needs at the building as needed

Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking.

Must be able to lift, push, and pull items that weigh up to 100 pounds

Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning safety or other compliance requirements, brand standards and local policy and procedures to ensure quality, safety, and consistency

Actions and manages the brand's PPM system

To ensure that all work undertaken is done safely and in accordance with the relevant approved codes of practice

To respond to the maintenance requests in order of priority and ensure that adequate levels of spares are maintained and effectively used in order to give a high standard of appearance throughout the buildings

To have a thorough understanding of the site and specifically all items of hotel and equipment

Any other duty as deemed suitable by the Hotel General Manager

Operate and maintain hotel mechanical systems such as domestic water system, hot water systems, chilled water systems, pool systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
