Towing Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, honest, and dependable Towing Driver to join our growing towing operation at Highlands Auto Center in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating light-duty tow trucks to assist with vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and local vehicle transportation.

This opportunity offers guaranteed base pay plus commission, with room to grow as call volume increases.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate light-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and wheel-lift vehicles, while following all safety procedures
• Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, vehicle breakdowns, and accident scenes to provide professional towing and recovery services
• Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches and tie-down systems
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatch, and shop personnel
• Follow assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies
• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks and equipment to identify maintenance or safety issues
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, tows completed, mileage, and incidents
• Represent Highlands Auto Center with professionalism, honesty, and care at all times

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record
• Previous towing or roadside assistance experience preferred, but not required
• Comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles (preferred)
• Knowledge of safe towing and vehicle recovery procedures
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with flexible hours based on call volume
• Willingness to work under a guaranteed base pay plus commission per tow structure
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Physically capable of performing towing and roadside assistance duties
• Must be hardworking, honest, reliable, and punctual

Compensation & Schedule

• Guaranteed base pay: $500 per week
• Additional commission paid per completed towing job
• Performance-based earnings — higher call volume means higher pay
• Local towing only (no long-haul work)
• Flexible daily hours; consistent weekday availability required
