About ExhibitIQ

ExhibitIQ is building the operating and marketplace platform for the next generation of galleries, museums, artists, and private collectors. Our streamlined infrastructure connects inventory, provenance, sales, and managed services in one environment. Using our smART Wall Tags with NFC and QR technology, each artwork can be easily viewed, verified, and tracked across both physical and digital spaces.

We also operate a global marketplace where artists, galleries, and institutions can list works for discovery, acquisition, managed services, and cultural engagement—expanding visibility and unlocking new collector networks around the world.

As we deepen our presence in the New York region and expand strategic partnerships, we're looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Associate to accelerate adoption across all layers of the ExhibitIQ ecosystem.

Role Overview

The Business Development Associate will help drive platform adoption, grow our global marketplace, and secure partnerships across galleries, institutions, artists, and collectors. This role blends sales, relationship development, and strategic execution to support ExhibitIQ's operating system and marketplace growth. Reliable transportation within the NY Metro / Tri-State area is essential for on-the-ground meetings, events, and gallery engagements.

What You'll Do

Client Development and Outreach

  • Prospect and qualify galleries, museums, artists, collectors, and institutions.
  • Initiate outreach and manage pipelines through email, calls, LinkedIn, and in-person visits.
  • Conduct demos and walkthroughs of the ExhibitIQ platform, global marketplace, and smART Wall Tag technology.

Partnerships and Sales Enablement

  • Support negotiations and deal structuring with early adopters and channel partners.
  • Help onboard clients to both the operating platform and global marketplace.
  • Work closely with product and operations to refine positioning and user experience based on client feedback.

Marketplace Growth and Activation

  • Recruit artists, galleries, and collectors to list works on our global marketplace.
  • Collaborate with marketing to highlight featured works, exhibitions, and marketplace drops.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that expand market reach and inventory quality.

Market Research and Strategy

  • Track trends across the art, culture, and emerging tech sectors.
  • Provide actionable insights to shape go-to-market strategies and outreach campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for ExhibitIQ to participate in regional art fairs, openings, conferences, and cultural events.

Operational Support

  • Maintain clear metrics across outreach, deals, and marketplace listings in CRM tools.
  • Contribute to business development reports, case studies, and investor updates.
  • Support execution for launch events, activations, and marketing initiatives.

Who You Are

  • A driven professional with 1–3 years in business development, sales, partnerships, or client-facing roles (startups, art, tech, or SaaS preferred).
  • A self-starter comfortable in fast-moving, founder-led environments.
  • Skilled in communication, presentations, and relationship-building.
  • Tech-comfortable and quick to learn digital tools (Google Suite, CRM systems, etc.).
  • Passionate about art, culture, and technology.
  • Bonus: experience with online marketplaces, SaaS sales, or the regional art ecosystem.

What You'll Gain

  • A front-row seat to the growth of a mission-driven ArtTech and marketplace platform.
  • Direct collaboration with the founding team and real influence on sales strategy.
  • Commission upside, potential equity participation, and a path to full-time employment.
  • Access to major galleries, institutions, collectors, and creative networks.
  • A portfolio of measurable impact across client acquisition, partnerships, and marketplace expansion.
