Summary of Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant will use their professional skills to assist and monitor the progress of pediatric patients based on their individualized plan of care. The primary goal is to help children achieve their developmental milestones and work toward specific therapy goals, such as improving balance, gait, strength, range of motion, and endurance. This process will be tailored to the unique needs of each child, helping them regain independence in their home environment. The one-on-one setting provides the opportunity for the PTA to build meaningful connections with both the child and their family, ensuring a safe and effective recovery. By focusing on children's specific needs, the PTA will have a lasting, positive impact on their ability to return to normal activities and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice as physical therapist in the state of Idaho.
  • One year (1) of experience as a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in community/home health or clinical experience preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain current BLS CPR.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and ability to drive in all weather conditions to ensure reliability for patient care.
