Blossom Hotel & Suites Traverse City is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to oversee daily hotel functions and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple departments effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to supervising staff, managing guest relations, and maintaining operational excellence across the property. The Hotel Operations Supervisor will play a key role in upholding the hotel's standards of service, managing budgets, and supporting the overall success of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold hospitality standards
- Manage guest relations, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction
- Oversee revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy and profitability
- Coordinate with human resources for staffing, training, and performance evaluations
- Monitor front desk operations including multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and reservation management
- Assist with night audit procedures and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Implement hotel policies and procedures to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments such as food & beverage, maintenance, and sales to ensure seamless resort operations
- Support budgeting processes and control costs without compromising service quality
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management setting
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality management principles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and problem resolution
- Experience with revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and night audit procedures is advantageous
- Familiarity with front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and phone etiquette is essential
- Previous resort or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The position will require availability during all shifts and will be assigned to act as Manager on Duty at the hotel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $29.00 per hour
