Staff Accountant

SUMMARY

The world's leading producer of fine and ultrafine enameled copper wire has a new opportunity for a full time, Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Boscawen, New Hampshire.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Staff Accountant working within a small accounting team of seven, reporting to the Controller, supporting a local $140 million manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of finished goods inventory, ensuring seamless data flow between production, sales, and finance, and providing critical reporting and analysis to support operational efficiency and financial reconciliation.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Essential Functions

• Responsible for inventory reconciliation including processing real-time adjustments, transfers, and receipt of inventory in the ERP system, control scrap quantities, perform routine cycle counts, reconcile consignment inventory, work with external auditors and production team to coordinate and lead the year end physical inventory process, maintain affiliate finished goods purchase orders, voucher affiliate invoices for entry into ERP system
• Report on various production metrics specifically related to scrap and finished goods production, assist with quarterly inventory valuation, assist in month end reporting of financial results to headquarters in Germany
• This position will serve as a backup to support limited duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable on occasion
• Special projects as identified or approved by supervisor, advancement opportunities with proven capabilities

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Self-motivated with ability to work independently and within a small team

· Discipline to meet monthly and quarterly deadline demands

· Ability understand ERP system part numbers for finished goods inventory

· Attention to detail to ensure consistent quality output

· Skills manipulating data in Excel and/or other tools

REQUIREMENTS

· On-site work, with remote work possible on an exception basis.

• Must pass a criminal background check

• An employment and education background check may be required

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates Degree or better in Accounting or Business Administration, relevant experience and/or skills may substitute for the degree requirement
• Various levels of experience will be considered, with compensation commensurate
