Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Catering Event Manager to lead our catering and event services with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this dynamic role, you will oversee all aspects of events the day of. You will partner with your sales director prior to the event to understand the operations and coordination of the event. Your passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to manage multiple projects will ensure memorable experiences for our clients. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader with an outgoing personality, outstanding attention to detail, and has a strong sense of urgency. This role requires previous catering or hospitality management experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including event execution and follow-up.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of servers, event staff, and supervisors to ensure flawless service.
- Manage event timelines the day of the event, logistics, and on-site coordination with precision and urgency.
- Collaborate closely with clients the day of the event to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, service standards, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Oversee setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues calmly and professionally during events.
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of catering staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering management, event management, or hospitality leadership required.

- Oversee operations of the catering department, including staffing schedules, inventory management, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure exceptional guest services by training staff in hospitality best practices, managing customer inquiries promptly, and resolving any issues efficiently.
- Maintain organizational excellence by keeping detailed records of bookings, contracts, event plans, and client communications.

- Strong organizational skills to oversee all aspects of catering operations seamlessly from planning through post-event follow-up.
- Banquet experience coupled with restaurant or hotel industry background enhances understanding of large-scale food service operations.
