We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in San Jose, California. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing a variety of goods, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining an organized inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to Safety, and proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and accurately stock incoming inventory.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to maximize space utilization and ensure Safety.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory verification to maintain data accuracy.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring materials are available when and where needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, often up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
