We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse. Your primary duties will involve operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport goods to designated areas. This role requires a strong commitment to Safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. We are dedicated to providing a secure and productive workplace for all our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to safely move, load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues or needed maintenance.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and stocking.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, free from obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Participate in ongoing Safety training and maintain compliance with all regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and documented experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, often up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
